Restart 2024

Imagine walking into a room untouched for years. Dust covers the furniture, the clocks have stopped, and yet – suddenly, there’s movement. That’s pretty much how it feels as I dive back into my blog after nearly a decade. Yes, you read that right: my last post was in 2015. Since then, the world has kept spinning, while this blog has been in a very, very long hibernation.
But now, in 2024, it’s time to shake off the digital dust and breathe life back into this blog. So much has changed over the past few years, and technology has evolved tremendously – who would have thought in 2015 that by 2024 we’d be discussing advanced AI, the potential of quantum computers, and the impact of blockchain across different industries?
What Can You Expect?
In the coming weeks and months, I want to provide diverse and inspiring insights into the world of modern technologies – with practical information, pros and cons, as well as my personal take. Other topics that move me won’t be left out either. Here are some things you can expect:
- The Role of Open Source in Software Development: How open source boosts innovation, fosters collaboration, and ultimately raises technology standards. This is a topic particularly close to my heart.
- Artificial Intelligence and Me: A series of articles about my journey through the world of AI. (Spoiler: No, machines haven’t taken over the world yet – at least not while I’m writing this post.)
- Creative Works: Besides my (admittedly amateurish) music-making, I’ve started writing short stories – partly assisted by AI, partly the old-fashioned way without technical help. I’ll share some of my experiences here, along with samples of my work.
- My Current Projects: Of course, these won’t be missing. I’ll keep you updated on my current projects – the successes, the challenges, and everything in between.
Looking Ahead
I’m excited to continue this journey with you and explore new horizons together – hopefully without another nine-year break this time. 😅
Feel free to share your thoughts, ask questions, and give suggestions. What topics are burning on your mind? Let’s discover them together and make this blog a place of lively exchange.
Thank you for being here! Here’s to a fresh start and many interesting conversations.
Yours,
Christian
